  2. It would have been nice to have this on a saturday. I would have been more inclined to go out friday, have the race saturday with a social saturday night, drive home sunday.

The organizers should have co-ordinated with the hotel owners in the area to give a rate for the entire weekend. Personally I'm not interested in a 3 hour drive after completing a tri.

Glad to see they are having a race out there, but I won't be going for a sunday race.

  3. Hats off to the organizers - I think its terrific that they are putting off a race in Central - Sunday or Saturday!

Perhaps anyone commenting on how things "should" have been done, could have been involved in the actual organizing, versus the actual complaining. See you in Gander.

This ANON guy??? Wow... Disappointed we have people like this in the tri community.

I for one, will be there to support the local races!

  5. Thanks Everyone,

Great to hear these positive comments about the race. Our website should be up and running soon for online registration.

Saturday was our original date for the race, however, do to road closure considerations we had to change to the standard Sunday morning.

For those who do make the trip we promise a fast course, great volunteers and a super time. See you this summer!

  7. I just bought a bike and have very little experience with riding. This is my first tri and I have no idea what to expect. Is there anyone who is doing this tri for their first time? Any of you who are experienced, do you have any suggestions about what I should do to prepare for transitions, keeping up energy, etc. I am lost and a little nervous.

  8. Transitions are the fourth sport in Triathlon and yours will improve with practice. Take a walk around the transition area and see how other people set up their stuff. And the night before just run through the entire event in your mind to make sure you have everything packed. Most important though ... relax and enjoy the morning ... you will love the sport!
