Yesterday the World Triathlon Corporation (WTC) introduced Ironman Access, a membership program with people paying $1000 annually for among other things the opportunity to register for Ironman events before registrations open to the general public.
Even though the program sold out in less than a day there was a HUGE backlash of criticism from the grassroots community.

Subaru's Ongoing Commitment To Triathlon
Capital Subaru demonstrated its continued fostering of Triathlon in Newfoundland and Labrador with both financial and in-kind support in 2010. Their sponsorship of the NL Tri Series including the Kids of Steel Triathlon helped organizers deliver a record number of 8 events to more than 500 adults and 250 kids across the province this year.
