Carbonear Sprint Results & Pictures

It was Jordan Baird by just 21 seconds yesterday to break Steve Dyke's winning streak at the Carbonear Sprint Triathlon. Baird was first in 56:17 while Victoria Ralph was first lady in 1:08:44. Full results are posted HERE.

Carbonear Sprint Race Day Registration

The Carbonear Sprint is this Sunday July 17 and if you missed the deadline for online registration fear not! Organizers will offer race morning registration at the swimming pool in Carbonear from 8:15am-9:30am. Race starts at Freshwater Pond 10am.

Open Water Swim Results

The day started dark, windy, wet and cool but by swim time Wednesday evening the wind died off and the sun came out for the St.John's Tri Open Water Swim!

59 people took to the water with Lisa Wakeham winning the 500m event in 8 minutes 51 seconds, Paul Collett winning the 1000m in 16:16, and Stephen Dyke first in the 2000m in 27:57. Full results are HERE.

Open Water Practice Swim Tonight

It may be a little damp but it is a swim after all!

The St.John's Triathlon is hosting the annual Open Water Practice Swim tonight at the Sunshine Camp on Thorburn Road. Beginners can get some pointers from Coach Paul Dawe at 5:15pm. Swim starts 6:30pm and pick your distance of either 500m, 1000m or 2000m.

Sign in on the beach starting 5:30pm and you need your TriNL membership so if you haven't yet renewed please VISIT HERE.

Kids Of Steel Regatta Day

The St.John's Kids of Steel triathlon is set for Regatta Day morning in Bowring Park starting 9am. 200 kids from 5-14 years old get introduced to the sport with a short swim, bike and run in various age groups. And things wrap up around 11am so there's plenty of day left to get down to the Lake.
