2019 Open Water Swim Series Week 5 Results

Week 5 of the 2019 Open Water Swim Series brought warm temperatures and sunny skies. With only one week remaining in the series participants have one more chance to improve upon their previous performances!

Jon Hare captured his fifth consecutive win in the Elite 1500 race (20:01), he had already locked up a series win last week since the best four of six swims count towards the final standings. Keith Barrett was 2nd (20:05) and Steve Dyke 3rd (20:08).

The JR 750 race was won by Megan Lafferty in 12:38. She was followed by Chris Boyce in 2nd (13:52) and Pamela Griffins in 3rd (15:59). Blair Pritchett won the SR race in 13:10. He was followed by David Robbins in 2nd (14:11) and Caroline Muselet in 3rd (15:14).

In the JR 1500 race Gwen Stacey won her fourth consecutive swim in 23:12, she has now won locked up a series win. Jennifer Guy finished 2nd (23:14) followed by Craig Ennis in 3rd (23:59). Kim Davis won the SR race in 25:42. She was followed by Tim Healey in 2nd (26:17) and Jason MacDonald in 3rd (26:51).
