Triathlon NL is looking for motivated, accomplished individuals who are interested in supporting and developing high performance triathlon athletes in the province.
Canada Summer Games – Team Manager
The next Canada Summer Games are in the Niagara region of Ontario in 2021. Triathlon NL has started the work of identifying a pool of young athletes who will train and prepare for those Games over the next couple of years. Working with provincial coach Pat Collins, the team manager will be responsible for organizing the activities of the training pool, and supporting the team at the Games.
Triathlon NL works within the Responsible Coaching Movement to provide a safe environment for athlete development. To meet this requirement the team manager should be female, and must consent to a criminal background check and vulnerable sector check. Interest in pursuing accreditation as a Competitive Triathlon coach would be a bonus (see below).
Competition Coaches
One of Triathlon NL’s responsibilities is assisting in the development of high performance athletes in our sport. Access to skilled coaching is an essential part of athlete development. Triathlon NL currently has one coach nearing completion of accreditation as a Competitive Coach, but more are needed. Our goal is to establish a pool of four Competition level coaches, two male and two female, who have either completed certification or are actively pursuing certification.
