The Triathlon Mixed Team Relay is set to make its Olympic debut at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. The competition is completed in teams of four, two men and two women, with each member doing a super-sprint distance triathlon. The women compete first and third with the men second and fourth.
The 2018 Mixed Relay World Championships were held this past weekend in Hamburg, Germany, July 14-15. Team Canada (Desiree Ridenour, Tyler Mislawchuk, Joanna Brown and Matthew Sharpe) finished 10th out of 20 teams with a time of 1:22:20.
