The 2019 St. John’s Triathlon took place on Sunday, August 11th at Rotary Sunshine Park. The event consisted of a swim in Healey’s Pond, a bike ride around Windsor Lake and a run through the park and along Bennett’s Road. There were sprint, standard and team relay races as part of the event.
Stephen Dyke won the sprint distance race. Max Kelly was second overall and the top junior finisher. Aubrey Saunders finished third.
The women’s race was won by Valerie Piercey followed by Jennifer Guy in second. Heidi Perry finished third and was the top junior female.
Will Duggan claimed victory in the standard distance race. He was followed by Carl Barrett in second and Chris Young in third.
Stephanie Nevin was the top female finisher and sixth overall. She was followed by Melanie Benson in second and Sherrie Myers in third.
The team relay was won by RBC Dominion Securities.
