The St. John’s Tri Committee has announced that due to heavy construction on the bike route that the event will not be able to go ahead in 2026 and has been cancelled. They will be back next year! And there is no impact on the Kids of Steel event.
Triathlon NL recognizes that the St. John’s Tri would have been an important opportunity for athletes to qualify for the World Championships in Hamburg, Germany in 2027. As a result, Triathlon NL is developing an alternative event, to be held on August 9, to ensure there is a qualifying event in the province this summer.
