Clarke’s Beach Sprint Triathlon & More 2025

We are planning for Clarke’s Beach for 2025. Tentative dates are either August 24 or August 31. This year we are working around the Canada Summer Games in St. John’s.

The Clarke’s Beach Sprint Triathlon will be a World Championship qualifying event for the 2026 Sprint finals in Spain! The highest place male and female finisher in each age group who has completed an EOI form will earn a spot to represent Canada in the event.

Highlights of the Course:

  • Transition is right beside the pond
  • Both the bike and run courses are completely closed to vehicle traffic
  • Situated in scenic Clarke’s Beach Park, in scenic Clarke’s Beach, just a short drive from St. John’s

Multiple Competition Categories:

  • Sprint* (750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run) – Age 16+
  • Try-a-Tri (285m swim, 8km bike, 3.5km run) – Age 14+
  • Duathlon (1.35km run, 20km bike, 5km run) – Age 16+
  • Aquathlon (750m swim, 5k run) – Age 16+
  • Aquabike (750m swim, 20km bike) – Age 16+
  • Relay (use sprint course, 2 or 3 person) – Age 12+
  • Mad Moto for Youth (150m swim, 2.5km bike, 1km run) – Age 10-15

Swim Course – 1 clockwise loop of the boomerang shaped course – 750m.

Two loops of out and back course. One loop for Try-a-Tri.

Run Course – Out and back on Park Road and Hill, with two loops of Shaw, Wood Path, Glam, and Meadow. One loop for Try-a-Tri.
