Triathlon NL’s Spring Challenge Indoor event is back again this year – scheduled for April 13 at The Works!
The competition is in two categories: one for school-age athletes, and one for Open (adult) athletes. The school-age competition has three groupings: Elementary, Junior High, and Senior High.
Athletes will compete by swimming laps in the MUN pool, spinning for distance on a spin-bike, and running laps of the indoor track in waves of maximum 10 people. The more laps/distance within the allowed time, the more points earned – most points wins! Swim, spin, run segments for the Open and Senior High categories are 15 minutes each. Segments are 10 minutes for Junior High, and 8 minutes for Elementary.
Indoor Tri is a safe way to learn about triathlon and/or test your fitness level. Registration is limited, so sign up soon!
